Garage was built in 2009 and is one of four building restored and added to by Acton Ostry Architects for the Salient Group on Water Street. Garage was the youngest of the buildings, designed by McCarter & Nairne and used initially as the Nagle Brothers Garage. It was developed by Ed Baynes of builders Baynes and Horie, and was probably the city’s first parking garage. The redevelopment added three extra residential storeys, with a clear delineation of the original cornice.
