Hudson

Hudson

From this angle the Hudson pretends to be an office block, blending in with the surrounding towers, but it has balconies on the east-facing side. Designed by Stantec Architecture, the 400+ condos were permitted because otherwise the site was going to be developed as just a 3 storey retail building, the BC Electric Showroom from 1928 (or at least it’s facade) was given a heritage makeover, and the SkyTrain station underneath finally got a decent entrance, and more importantly, disabled access – all paid for by the developer. Our ‘before’ is actually from just after the start of construction when the heritage building was already propped up.
